A couple of weeks ago I visited my hometown, Monterrey, Mexico to spend some quality time with my family. It was wonderful getting to see everyone and I just adore spending time with our niece and nephews! Leo is one of our two beautiful nephews, son of my brother-in-law Eugenio and his wife Gaby. He just has so much energy and happiness to share and it is truly infectious! My youngest brother filled my mom’s guest room with tons of balloons for Emilio to play with when we arrived and boy was he super happy to share with his oldest cousin. We love you Leo!

The couple* was married in an intimate affair with their closest family and friends at a private residence in River Oaks. Every detail was just right thanks to the expert planning of Melissa Sugulas at Keely Thorne Events. With love in the air, delicious food & sweet treats, a close-knit group, and lots of dancing – it was definitely an unforgettable night!

Welcome to the world, Baby Ivana!
Born last October, Ivana is the daughter of our good friends Adriana and Ricardo. She was such a good baby during the shoot and is just as cute as can be! We took the photos at their apartment so I could really capture the new family in their element. The nursery was so pretty and had so many DIY elements all designed by Adriana.
We’re so happy for our sweet friends and their little bundle of joy!

Most of my work is wedding photography where I get to be there when my clients say “I Do”…but it’s not often enough that I get to be there when he asks “Will you marry me?”…so I was very excited when, after 6 years of dating, Memo asked me to photograph this special moment when he proposed to his love, Manu.
On Friday, 2/10/12 at Tiny Boxwoods, she thought it was just another night but little did she know, Memo had some secrets up his sleeve! When they arrived, she requested a table inside because of the chilly weather and the hostess lead them to the “next available table” – the gazebo! This is where a table was all set up for just the two of them. On the table was a special ring-box cake designed and made by the chef of Tiny Boxwoods. The cake was adorned with the phrase “Will you marry me?”. As soon as she saw the cake, she knew what was happening and was immediately ecstatic and in shock! Memo brought out the ring, got on one knee, and asked her to marry him. She said yes!
In addition to the already romantic room, Memo also had a violinist from Divisi strings serenading them. They indulged in delicious appetizers for dinner and and just when Manu thought the surprise was complete, both of their families showed up to celebrate this momentous occasion!
It was such a magical evening – congratulations to the happy couple…and Happy Valentine’s Day! <3
Not many things are as beautiful as a young couple in love! And Lauren & John are just that. :) I had a blast at their e-session taking both traditional Houston scenic photos in the Rice area and then some more funky pictures over in Montrose. They have such adorable personalities and are constantly making each-other laugh! It was so fun to watch how spontaneous Lauren is and then how mesmerized John is by her. You can tell how happy they are together. I can hardly wait for their May wedding!
